I love the word "faux"!
Confession: I have not gone on a run since Monday. My foot has really been hurting and I just haven't felt like pushing through. I know. I know. I am giving myself until Sunday. On Sunday, I have committed to run Chelsea's Run hosted by Katye. So Sunday I'm done with my pity party!! Woot Woot! That's why I called this post "faux vacation." Well, that and I plan on seeing a view something like this Saturday evening:

I'm hoping to go to Door County or Lake Geneva. Now, I just have to talk Mike into it ;)
A big shout out to all of you amazing running bloggers. You have made this journey of mine so much richer! There is no doubt in my mind that I will complete the Couch to 5K program (even with my little break this week). I have no doubt that I will run a 5K! I have no doubt I am and always will be a runner! Thank you all so much for your support and guidance!
Peace.
Trish
p.s. You may have noticed I changed the "title/name" of my blog. I feel like everyday is a new chance to be a better me. To have a better experience. To begin again...
Enjoy the vacation from running. It's not bad to take a break once in a while and then pick back up! I'm glad my bad runs inspire you - it's nice to have them serve a purpose. ;o)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your "vacation". I haven't run since Saturday, so you're doing better than me. Have fun on "Chelsea's Run", good for you for signing up!
ReplyDeleteI like the new title. :o)
You are not the only one loving the word faux! I wish I could use it more often (and words like chic and passe)
ReplyDeleteIt is great to have an event to look forward to as exercise motivation; I definitely have ups and downs when I want to run all the time and when I don't run for a couple weeks
Katherine

P.S.~ I haven't run since Wednesday. Slacker, I know! But tomorrow, I will hit the streets! Told hubs "I know I'm going to work super-hard w/ my new training group that starts soon." He just smiled and said, "Okay, honey..." Hmmm... do you suppose he wasn't buying it? LOL
HUGS from Orlando! Just posted a silly late-night message. :)

ReplyDeleteAlso, wanted to say thank you for the cute headband and the subsrcip to RW. Loving both of them and I think of you every time I get an issue in the mail. :) Haven't had a chance to wear my headband yet because it's been raining like crazy here...so it's been a hat lately. The sun is coming!
Hi Trish, so glad you came by and entered the give away. Hats off to you, girl. I admire a runner!! Take good care of that foot, and don't be a stranger!

Hi! I am just starting training for a 5k and thought it would be smart for me to stalk, or rather, read about other people's journeys with trying this "running business" :) I appreciate just how real your blog is and it's encouraging to me! Can't wait to hear more about your journey!
ReplyDeleteOh! Your blog is so inspiring! Makes me want to run!! Happy birthday to your "babies" and thank you for entering the giveaway I had while on vacation! I will post the results today . . . Kristin xo
