Be Awesome People

I saw this on Road ID's Facebook page, here, and had to print it out!! I love it sooo much! It is in my bathroom right above the light switch as you walk out. Yeah, I'm weird like that :)

This pic is me after my two mile run (ok, run/walk interval). It was cold!! My knees were sore tonight and I couldn't quite relax into my normal form, but I survived! Woot Woot!! I figure that by the time I figure out how to dress for the cold, it will be warm! Oh well, I'll be ready for next year! :)

I finally think I have crossed from hoping I can be a runner, to knowing that I already am. Running does not come easy to me. Each run is a struggle. (okay, there is the rare one that is "easy"). What I finally figured out is that even though it isn't easy, I actually enjoy the process. I like to run. I don't like it to hurt, but i love how I feel when it doesn't!

I ran Wednesday and Saturday outside. No biggie? For me, it is huge!! Wednesday it was in the 20's and icy. Saturday it was 18 when we started out! That is cold for this girl!! I typically don't do well running in the cold. My asthma acts up a little when it is that cold. The runs were tough, but I did it! Hardcore :)

Support and a Good Run!

Yesss! Finally, finally, finally I have found a winner!! The Fiona, from Moving Comfort!I wish I would have broken down and bought this wonderful sports bra sooner! What a difference it made in my run yesterday! Goodbye two bras! Moving Comfort has hit a home run! (I did not recieve any compensation or consideration from Moving Comfort. This is my honest and true opinion).

I completed my third interval run yesterday. It was sooo awesome!! My legs felt great. My lungs felt great! It was wonderful and so cool! Woot Woot!!!

What happens when it snows on an early release day? Pictures of course!! I think I've mentioned before that there are hundreds, make that thousands of self portraits of my older daughter on the computer. Now Katie and Kenzie are getting in on the act!! I tried to find a picture in which Kenz was making a funny face, but not a one! She is truly all about the "look" :)

I'm working on finalizing my race schedule. Yep, it's true! I am going to have an actual RACE SCHEDULE!! I'm so excited!

No Boundaries practice begins Wednesday. I'm a little nervous!! However, I know it is what I need!

Monday Muffins


Whole Wheat Banana Muffins makes 12 muffins

1 C. whole wheat flour 3 mashed bananas
1 T. baking powder 1/2 C. sugar
1/2 t. baking soda 1/2 C. unsweetened apple sauce
1/8 t. salt 1 egg
2 T. ground flax seed 1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 t. cinnamon (i used a little more :) 1 t. olive oil (ish, i added a little more)

Preheat oven to 350 F. Either use muffin liners or spray your pan.

Mix all dry ingredients except sugar. Be sure to mix well! (otherwise you will have muffins of all sizes see above picture :) In a separate bowl, mix together remaining ingredients. Stir this banana mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. *I use an ice cream (or cookie) scoop to put the batter in the muffin tins. Works well.*
Bake 15 - 20 minutes. Enjoy!

These are super quick and easy to make. They are quite tasty and not dry like some whole wheat muffins can be. If you care, they are 3 weight watchers plus points each. They could be sweeter, so if someone has a low cal idea of how to do it, plea…

If you are looking for me, look no further than the local gym. Mike and I have spent the better part of the winter doing this:
Major bleacher time! All three girls play basketball and the two youngest have started club volleyball. So, if you're looking for me, try the gym! :)In other news, I have a stinkin' sinus infection.
